December Randoms

Here are some random things from December that didn't fit into a post by themselves:

Waiting in the car at school for the bus to get there.

My boys!  I love getting pictures from Matt in the morning after I've gone to school.

This girl got dressed in the Christmas spirit to take a field trip with her class to the Christmas Tree Farm.

Will they ever get too big for me to love watching them sleep?

It was "bring your bear to school" day!

Cooper refused to nap at Grammy's one day - so this is what happened on the way home.

Daddy had to take Cooper to the doctor - where he was diagnosed with croup.

Cooper is obsessed with the tractor at Gigi's house!

Napping at Gigi's.  :)

Mis-matched and ready to go outside at Grammy's!

He rocked out his inner superhero one day!

We had tacky sweater day at school.

About once a month, Matt takes Cooper on a "breakfast date" just the two of them.  Cooper chowed down on some cinnamon raisin biscuits at Hardees!

First day of Christmas break!

Loving my new kicks from Christmas!

Ready for church!

It's was a rainy, cold day, so we had a lunch picnic in the living room.

Ben came to town for a week right before New Years!

We had a play date with the Parkers, and I loved getting to snuggle this sweet girl!

Cooper's feet grow so fast - so he had to get some new shoes, too.

Daddy went duck hunting, and the kids were fascinated.

That's a wrap for December!

New Year's Eve 2014

We've never been ones that have gone all out for New Year's, but we did want to celebrate a little with the kids now that they're getting older.  And it's also an excuse for Matt to play with fireworks, which is his favorite.  We started a new tradition this year: breakfast for dinner on New Year's and fireworks after bath.  It's a good thing that it gets dark so early in the winter, because we were able to do the fireworks at like 6:30 pm - haha.

Ready to go!

Daddy is the master at putting on a fireworks show.

I had the fun job of snuggling with my littles while we watched.

They both love fireworks, so they were both in Heaven!

After fireworks, it was time for the kids' favorite part - sparklers!  This was Cooper's first time actually holding a sparkler - and he loved it!  At our 4th of July celebration - he refused to touch them.  So this was a big improvement!  LL hasn't held a sparkler in a few years, either.  I think they got their "braveness" by feeding off of each other.

Ha!

It was a great way to end 2014 and kick off 2015!  We haven't always celebrated New Year's with anything fancy - but you can see some past years here:

2013 -  a date night for me and Matt.
2012 - a trip to Atlanta with the kids.
2010 - LL's busted lip.

Puppies

While we were on Christmas break, the kids (mainly LL) wanted to go to Uncle Bryan's to see his puppies.  They were about 6ish weeks old, and at the really tubby, fun, tiny stage of puppyhood.  We loaded up one afternoon and headed over there to play.  Thankfully, LL understood before we went that we were not getting another dog.  Because Uncle Bryan was really trying to talk her into it and she adores animals.  But we did not come home +1.  :)

Is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen?  My best girl + a tubby puppy!

She was so happy!

Cooper was a little bit interested in the puppies - but he was way more interested in climbing the fence and hanging out with Uncle Bryan.
