Girl's Atlanta Trip

The weekend before Christmas, my mom had plans to go to Atlanta to visit my sister.  She asked if I wanted to come, and Matt and I talked about it and decided that LL and I would tag along!  I got out of school at 12:00 on Thursday, and we were on the road with mom by 2:00.

We're so happy when we're together!

Saturday morning, I got these pictures from my boys bright and early in the morning.

Ben had school on Friday, so we went to have lunch with him!  LL really enjoyed seeing his school and his classmates!

I got this picture from Grammy while I was gone.  They took Cooper to go see Santa!  This picture is just so precious.

We went by Target and I picked this up - and it was amazing.  We may or may not have gone back for two more bags.

Friday night, Ben had plans to go see the new Star Wars with Gino (no thanks for us girls!), so we all went to Your Pie for dinner.  It's a make-your-own pizza place!  Think Subway but for pizza.  It was amazing!

They gave LL some extra dough to play with.  :)

That evening when we got home, we had hot chocolate in front of the fire and watched movies.  It was perfect!

Saturday, we had plans to go ice skating, but Ben got sick and started throwing up.  We decided to go ahead and just come home a day early.  Laura and Gino needed to be able to focus on Ben, and we didn't want to risk anyone else getting sick so close to Christmas.

On the way home, I got this picture of Cooper at the grocery store - haha.

I hated that our trip got cut short, but we all still had a great time.  It was a great way to kick off Christmas break!

Cooper's Christmas Program

Since Cooper is in preschool this year, we've had a lot of new firsts with him.  Another first this year - his first Christmas program!!  LL did this same program twice when she was in preschool.  Once she was a star, and once she was a townsperson.  For Cooper's program this year, he was a drummer boy!

We all had been looking forward to his program for several week.  Of course, the day of his program, LL got off the bus saying she didn't feel well.  I took her to the nurse at my school and her temp was 101.5.  She was miserable, so Grammy offered to miss the program and take her to the doctor.  Guess what the outcome of that was?  Flu!  Out of 10 years of collective parenting, I've never had a child have the flu!!  Poor girl was miserable!  She hated to miss Cooper's program, and we all missed having her and Grammy there.

On the way to dropping him off at his classroom!

Cooper's class came in very last (youngest come out last), and he looked like a beast next to his classmates - haha.  He was definitely the biggest kid!

He was just so so so cute!!!

He did so good!  He played his drum and sang "Little Drummer Boy".

With his teachers -  Mrs. Kori and Mrs. Lisa

We were so proud of our boy!

Even without Grammy and LL there, Cooper had a whole slew of people there supporting him.  This is the first of many performances - and I'm excited about it!  I love seeing my kids grow and do fun things like this!  You can see LL's past Christmas performances here:
3 years old - a star
4 years old - a townsperson

November Randoms

Here's a look at all the random things from November that didn't fit into a post of their own:

Forgetting that it's your child's snack week (oops!) means an early morning trip to Publix before school.

Early morning waiting-on-the-bus selfies!

This boy would live outside if we let him.

Snuggles with Gigi!

All he wants for Christmas is a scooter of his own!

Yuck.  Look what the cat dragged in.  Literally.

Look who Daddy and Cooper found at the store!!  Nunu!!

Super Coop!!

LL spent a good hour in her room this day working on lots of puzzles like this!

A glimpse into the teenage years,  Laying in her bed texting her friends.

Ready for school! (and looking so grown up)

My turkey boy!

You know - just hanging out with spider man.

LL and her bff hanging out under my desk at school reading their AR books.

Another "ready for school" picture.  Daddy typically sends me one of these every morning.  They're my favorite.

Spider man!  With a cape!

Watching a movie and wearing KK's boots - haha.

"Mommy!  Take my picture with dis fwower!"

We took Cooper by to see some piglets that belong to our friend.  He was so excited.  The piglets - not so much.

Goofball!

I love my silly boys!

LL's teacher sent this to me during the day - LL got stung by a wasp at recess!!  This was her first time ever getting stung, but thankfully she didn't seem to have a reaction.

Watching the middle school basketball game with a friend.

Thumbs up!

That's a wrap for November!
