Cooper - 7 Months Old!

I can honestly say that I got very emotion about Cooper this week - getting his first tooth, turning 7 months, I just feel like he's growing up so fast.  Since we know for sure that he is our last, I just want to hang onto my little baby for as long as possible!  Even so, he still continues to grow without my permission.  :)

Here's a look at how Cooper is doing this month compared to What to Expect the First Year:

Stats:
Weight: About 20lbs
Diapers: Size 3
Clothes:6 months (not for long), 6-9 months, and 9 months

Schedule:
We're still on the 4 hour schedule, but I've adjusted it once again to fit in with even more solids.

7:00 am - up for the day (6 oz bottle)
8:15ish - solids (fruit)
8:45ish - down for nap
11:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
12:15ish - solids (veggie)
12:30ish - down for nap
3:00 - up and eat (6oz)
5:45ish - dinner (oatmeal and solids)
6:30 - bath
6:45 - bottle (6 or 7 oz)
7:00 - bed
He still sleeps through the night about 50% of the time, but we're weaning him out of it and lowering his oz in the night.  If he wakes up now, he only gets 3 oz.

Cooper can do all of the things that a seven month old baby should be able to:
-feed self a cracker
-razz
-coo or babble when happy
-smile often when interacting with you

This is what he does now when I try to take pictures!

Cooper can do most of the things that a seven month old baby will probably be able to:
-sit without support
-bear some weight on legs when held upright
-object if you try to take a toy away
-work to get a toy that's out of reach
-rake with fingers an object and pick it up in fist
-turn in the direction of a voice
-look for a dropped object

There are a couple of things that Cooper can not do from the "will probably be able to" section:
-babble, combining vowels and consonants such as ga-ga-ga, ba-ba-ba, ma-ma-ma, da-da-da {we're working on it!  LL didn't do this until closer to 8 months, either}
-play peekaboo {we've been working on this, too.  He won't pull a blanket off of his face, but he loves the game!}

Cooper can do one thing that a seven month old baby may possibly be able to:
-pass a cube or other object from one hand to the other

Still trying to get that camera!

There were two things that Cooper can not do from the "may possibly be able to" section:
-creep or crawl
-stand holding on to someone or something {he can stand for a long time, but he hasn't done it completely by only himself holding on}

Cooper can do one thing that a seven month old baby may even be able to:
-pick up a tiny object with any part of thumb and finger

There were a lot of things that Cooper can not do from the "may even be able to" section:
-pull up to standing position from sitting
-get into a sitting position from stomach
-play patty cake (clap hands), or wave bye-bye {we're working on it - he's close!}
-walk holding on to furniture
-say "mama" or "dada" indiscriminately

We really are getting to SUCH a fun age and I can't wait to see what this next month has in store for us!

Once again, a look at how much my little man has changed in the last 7 months!

And for the first time, when doing his comparison with LL, I do NOT think that they look that much alike anymore!  It really surprised me!  Cooper is starting to get his own look, for sure!

LL and Cooper's Picture Comparison

When I blogged about Cooper's 6 month photo shoot, I mentioned that we tried to mimic LL's 5.5 month shoot as closely as possible. I also said I would do another post about it - well - here it is!

It is so funny to look at the pictures for me.  First, because it's so neat to see how my children look SO ALIKE in some ways and so different in others.  It's like sometimes I think they are so similar, and then sometimes I think they look like completely different babies.  That's even represented in these pictures.  Secondly, because you can see so much of their personalities (and how they're different in these pictures).  LL is a CHARACTER in these pictures - which was foreshadowing then because she is certainly a character now.  In Cooper's pictures, you can see that he is more subdued, more laid back, and not as "crazy" with his expressions - which is totally how he is all the time.  He is a suuuuuper go-with-the-flow baby, and I LOVE that about him!!

For all of these pictures, LL is on the left and Cooper is on the right (duh).  Also, you can click on any of the pictures to see them bigger.

 They have both adored their jumper at this age, so I'm glad to have a picture with both of them in it.  We actually have a picture of Ben at this age in it, too!

I think Cooper has a stronger chin, for sure!  And he definitely has more hair!  I also think his face might be a little longer (and not quite as round) as LL's.  That comes from his Mommy.  :)  They both FOR SURE have that cute, little Mullican nose!

We actually have this picture of LL blown up into a large canvas in our living room.  We wanted a comparison picture of Cooper, and I think this one is it.

So, what do you think?  Do they look alike or completely different?

Cooper's 6 Month Pictures

One of my biggest goals on our New Year's trip to Atlanta was for Uncle Gino to take some pics of both Cooper and LL.  When LL was about 5.5 months old, Gino took some pictures for us that have been some of my all time favorites of LL.  Since Cooper turned 6 months old on Christmas, we were due for his 6 month pictures.  Gino did not disappoint!!  We tried to mimic the exact same pictures that we got of LL (I'll do a whole other post on that) and I think they turned out WONDERFUL!  See what you think:

I love that, if you click on this picture to make it bigger, you can tell that his eyes are, in fact, not brown.  They are hazel!

Gino has taken some fabulous pictures for us before.  He did LL's one month pictures.  He also did Cooper's 6 week pictures.  Some more of my favorites were pics from when LL was 14 months old (with cousin Ben!)  And I think my all time favorites were the family pictures that he took for us the summer after our miscarriage.  I was in such a dark place, and these pictures were such a blessing to me!  Thank you SO MUCH to Uncle Gino for taking wonderful pictures for us again!

Which ones are your favorite??
