4th of July

I woke up on Sunday with a HORRIBLE sore throat, and it seemed to continue to get worse the longer that I was up.  It turned into a sore throat, headache, sinus pressure, body aches, and nausea.  Not a fun combination!  I got us all ready for church as usual and headed to drop Lorelai off at Grammy's so that I could go to praise team practice.  I went to practice (it was my week to sing, so I have to be there to practice at 8:30), practiced, and then headed back to pick LL up.  Practice actually got out early, so when I went back to Matt's parent's house (about 9:30) I laid down on their couch to take a little nap because I was feeling so bad.  I knew if I was going to sing, I would need that rest!  Mrs. Becky woke me up about 10:30 and we got everything ready to go.

Lorelai looked SO ADORABLE this morning!  She was wearing a 4th of July pillow case dress that Grammy had made, a big red bow in her hair, and an American Flag to carry.  So cute!!

We went to church but left after I got done singing because I was feeling so bad.  When we got back to their house, I slept for another hour until Matt got there.  Then we all ate lunch (Pork Loin in plum sauce with mashed potatoes - my favorite!) and then every single one of us went down for a nap (or for me, another nap).

I slept until about 3:30, and when I woke up, everyone else was still asleep!  I headed out to the grocery store because I knew that I couldn't put it off any longer.  We had no food!  When I got back, everyone was awake and we headed to Smokin' Pig for dinner.  You have to have BBQ on the 4th of July!

I really kind of think that this is so horrible, but my child LOVES to chew on a rib bone!  Isn't that so redneck?!  A part of me thinks that it's so horrible, but a part of me thinks that it was one of the cutest things that I have ever seen.  What's it going to hurt, really?  Nothing.  That's why we let her do it.

After dinner we gave her a bath a Grammy's and headed home.  It sure is a good thing that they live so close to everything!

boo for the sickness! Zach made a good point and told me that he heard somewhere that once you have kids you get sick more often (I SWEAR we've been sick more this year than we ever have been our WHOLE lives!!!) b/c you get the crap they are strong enough to withstand! LL looked adorable on the fourth and I LOVE your dress!!!
