Matt's 34th Birthday!

Matt's birthday was at the beginning of April.  I've always joked with Matt about how old he is.  There are 4 years between us, so he always seems a good distance away.  ;)  This year, I enter my 30's, so him turning 34 was almost just as sad as me turning 30.  After 4 long years, we are finally about to be in the same decade again - haha.  He wanted to celebrate with a quiet evening at home, so that's exactly what we did!  I baked him a strawberry swirl cream cheese pound cake - and it was so good.  We actually fed the kids dinner and didn't eat with them, and then Matt grilled us some steaks after they went to bed.  We did go ahead and sing and do cake after their dinner so that we could all participate.

The birthday boy (man - ha)!  LL picked out his candles all by herself.

Cooper taste-testing.

He was a fan!

I may have eaten part of a piece when the kids did - and then another after my dinner later.  But I guess we'll never know.  When we sliced the cake, it did look like a face.

I love this man!

With two kids, sometimes a quiet night at home to celebrate is just the best thing in the world.  Happy 34th to my favorite man - I can't wait to celebrate another 34 with you!
