Panama City Beach - Day 3 & 4

Thankfully, my kids slept a little longer the next morning.  And by "a little longer", I mean they got up at 5:30 instead of 4:50.  Not fantastic, but better than nothing!  We got up and got ready to head to the beach by about 7:30/8.  We walked to the board walk of the beach when we realized we could see the rain over the ocean.  We knew it would be hitting pretty quickly, so we went back to the house to wait it out.

The grown-ups had some down time (in which some of us may or  may not have napped), while the kids played.  Cooper grabbed some left over party hats to mimic what Daddy did the day before at the party.  He is a silly boy!

After about an hour, the rain had passed, so we made a second attempt at the beach!

We spent about 2 hours at the beach (during which I only took this one picture) playing until we had to head back in because of some more thunder/rain.  We got back at lunch time, so we just ate at the house and then did nap for Cooper again.

During nap/rest time, Laura and I left the boys with the kids and went to Pier Park to walk around and do some shopping.  When we got done, we went back to pick everyone up and head to dinner at Pineapple Willys!

This girl and I were ready for some calamari and some fried shrimp!

Sometimes, this is what you get in a family picture - haha.

A group shot from Pineapple Willy's!

After dinner, we split up into our two families and did our own thing for a little while.  We went to a souvenir shop (random fact: I love beach souvenir shops!  The cheesier, the better.)  After everyone picked out their souvenir, we stopped back by the ice cream shop, and we all split a cup of ice cream.

Since it was the last night of vacation and the last night of summer, we decided to let the kids stay up late and we headed to the beach for some play time at sunset!

I just love my family so much.  We're not perfect, and things aren't always "picture perfect", but we sure do love each other!  I feel so blessed that this man and these kids are mine!

Matt found the smallest ghost crab.  I'm pretty sure this is not the one that bit me.  ;)

I love this guy!

These kids loved ending the night at the beach!!

Full bellies, full hearts, sunset, and watching our kids play in the sand - life is so good!

Originally, we had planned to try and fit in a little bit of beach time the next morning before we had to be out of the house at 10 am.  Then, that night Ben got sick (and we were all just so exhausted), that we decided to just pack up and head home early the next morning.  We got back in town just in time for nap time for Cooper and for me to make a trip to the grocery store - so it was perfect.

So long, PCB!
