Summer - Week 7

Our 7th week of summer was from July 4 - July 10.  Our weeks of summer freedom are slowly coming to a close, so we're trying to fit in all of our "must do's" before we're out of time!

Monday

Monday was the 4th of July!  You can read all about how we celebrate HERE.

Tuesday

Tuesday morning we picked up Gigi and headed to the water park at Wild Adventures!

Barely out of the parking lot and LL has already stolen Gigi's hat and Cooper has already stolen my sunglasses.

LL always loves to stop and see the animal at the entrance.  Cooper not so much - haha.

Ready to go!!

While we were at the park, Daddy was working (job) and working out (lunch break).  Check out those guns!

Wednesday

I texted this picture to Matt first thing in the morning.  Spiderman wearing a robe and a batman mask.  #confused

LL and I dropped Cooper off with Grammy and Pop because she had a dentist appointment to get some sealants put on her molars.

She was nervous, but she did so great!

She got to visit the toy chest and get a popsicle!

After her dentist appointment, we had some girl time and went to get pedicures.

We both enjoyed it!

I love spending alone time with my best girl!

Thursday

A while ago, my sister and I used to take a "girls trip" every year.  We haven't been anywhere since our trip to California when I was pregnant with Cooper.  We decided it was time for another trip, so we took a few Mommy days off and headed to Jacksonville.

We went to the Saint John's Town Center when we got there to do some shopping (it was too early to check into our hotel), and to get a snack.  Laura fed more of her snack to the fish than eating it herself - haha.

After shopping, we checked into the hotel and lucked out with a room facing the beach!  Yay!

We didn't have a ton of time before needing to get ready for dinner, so we opted to go enjoy the pool for a little while instead of the beach.

It was such an awesome pool area!

For dinner, we went to Salt Life.  Matt and I went there last year on our family beach trip to St. Augustine, but Laura has never been.  We got some avocado fries for our appetizer and they were sooo good!

After dinner, we found a frozen custard place for dessert.  I've never had frozen custard before, but it did not disappoint!  Especially when you put in on top of a brownie and cover it with hot fudge and caramel.  ;)  When we got back to the hotel, we hit the beach (less heat and less crowds) until sunset!

Matt sent this picture from home.  Obviously Apsyn didn't have a problem with me being gone - haha.

Friday

We were up early on Friday ready for some beach time!

There was a company that worked with our hotel and would rent chairs and umbrellas for super cheap, so we took that option for a few hours!

Not a bad way to start my day!

We had to be out of our hotel by 11.  After we checked out, we did a little more shopping before heading home.  We went back to the frozen custard place from the day before for Laura to buy some paintings from a local artist.  The turtle for Ben and the pineapple for me.  :)

Saturday

Back home and back to the grind!  Into the gym for me!

Hot and sweaty, but she doesn't care.  :)

Sunday

After missing church for various reasons the last few weeks, we were up and ready this week!

This was Cooper's first week moving up a class (to the 4/5 year old class), and he was not a happy camper.  He loved his 3 year old class.  Needless to say, he didn't quite make it the whole time, so he ended up being in big church with Mommy and Daddy for the first time (luckily - only for the last 10 minutes or so).

That evening, Aunt Laura and Ben came over for dinner and brought some fun painting activities!

That's a wrap for week 7!  You can see what we've been up to the rest of the summer here:

Robyn, where did you get that grey tank you wore to the beach? Love it!

Danielle - Old Navy! They are my favorite for easy, summer tanks!
