Weekend Recap

This weekend was actually a very relaxed weekend for us with minimal plans.  Which was really nice.  We typically are very busy in the spring, so it was great to get some down time!

Friday night, Matt planned an "at-home" date night for us and planned for the kids to stay the night with grandparents.  It was so low-key, but so so nice.  After I got home Friday from school, I got to take a little nap and decompress from the week.  That night we just relaxed, watched movies, and ate ice cream for dinner.  It was perfect!

While we had our lazy date night, the kids were having a blast!  Gigi took LL out to dinner and to get a new fish!

Cooper had some one-on-one time with Grammy, Pop, and Uncle Bryan.

Saturday morning Matt and I both slept in until 9 (amazing!!), and then we ran a few errands in town before going to get the kids.  One of the stops we made was to find an Easter dress for me.  This blue one made the cut!

We spent the rest of Saturday at home (minus a trip by myself to the grocery store), and the kids actually seemed pretty happy to have a low-key night at home together.  Sunday, we all got up and ready for church (and a little early none the less!).

Matt was fake sneezing to try and get Cooper to laugh, so Cooper started fake sneezing, too.  :)

My babies!!  We were all decked out in our Spring colors to welcome the first day of Spring!

Walking into church and both of my babies wanted to hold my hand.  I'm not complaining.  :)

After church we just came home for lunch.  During nap time, Matt took LL fishing for a few hours and I may or may not have taken a nap while Cooper did.  ;)  Matt and LL didn't catch any fish, but they did find this turtle!  "Catboy the Turtle" (as named by Cooper - here's a VIDEO of Cooper talking to Catboy) will be living with us this week, but he will be going back to his pond home soon.

Here's a video Matt took of LL learning how to cast her own pole!
Now that we had a relaxing weekend to charge our batteries, bring on Easter and Spring Break!
