2014 Recap

One of my favorite posts to do each year is our "year in review" post.  I just love looking back at all the fun we were able to have during the year.  I also love looking back at how much my sweet babies have grown!

2014 was a great year for us.  Some years are harder and more trying than others, and thankfully this past year went a little easier on us that previous years before.  I loved this year, and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for us!  Here's a look back at our 20114:

January
January was a calm, easy month for us.  Matt and I fit in a few date nights, we all had lots of snuggles, and we went outside as often as the weather would allow us.  We even got a few surprise snow days that kept us all at home (even if there never was really any snow).

February
February was when the fun started to pick up!  We kicked off the month with my sweet LL turning 5!  We had a pool party with her friends, a party at her school, and a family party!  She also got to go to the Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance with Daddy.  We still tried to fit in some outside time when we could, and LL even had her first sleep over!

March
March was full of Spring fun.  We went fishing with Ben and Aunt Laura when they were in town.  We got to go to both the Bunny Hop and the Azalea Festival.  Cooper had surgery on his toes.  We planted some spring flowers one rainy day.  LL went on her first Girl's Night with Mommy and Mrs. Kayla.  It was a busy, great month!

April
April started off with Daddy's 34th birthday!  LL had her first gymnastics exhibition this month.  We did Chick Pics and celebrated Easter.  We had our first lunch picnic in the park for the year, and we spent lots of time playing outside.  LL also got her new kitty - Lovie.

May
May was busy and awesome!  My awesome husband and friends threw me a surprise 30th birthday party!  It was seriously one of the best days of my life!  We also celebrated Mother's Day, and LL's preschool graduation!  We got to start having some pool time this month.  One of the best parts of the month was the trip that Matt and I took to Jamaica for our 10th wedding anniversary!

June
After such a busy May, we had a pretty calm June.  We spent so much time outside playing.  We ate popsicles, played int he kid pool, swam in the real pool - we were constantly outside!  We went blueberry picking one Saturday morning.  Daddy and LL went fishing one day, and LL got to go on a vacation for a few days with Grammy and Pop.  After 12 years of talking about it (and never doing it), I finally got my teeth fixed and got the gap between my front teeth closed.  I'm so happy I did it!  We finished the month with Cooper's 2nd Birthday!  We had a party at home for family and a construction themed pool party for friends!

July
July was completely full with family fun.  We spent the 4th of July at Gigi's cooking out, eating smores, and setting off fireworks.  We went to a local peach shed to buy peaches and eat some ice cream. Mamaw Lucy came in town from Louisiana and we all went fishing with her.  LL and I took a girl's only trip to Atlanta to spend time with Ben, Aunt Laura, and Uncle Gino.  We also took our annual trip to the firestation with all of our friends!

August
After being pretty worried about it all summer, LL finally started Kindergarten (and loves it).  She had great days at school at the beginning of the year, and Grammy and Pop threw her a "Welcome to Kindergarten" dinner.  Ben and family came down for a last-minutes party for Ben's 5th Birthday.  Cooper also got back into his "school" routine and loved spending every day with Grammy and Pop.

September
We tried to soak up the last of summer during September.  Thankfully, September is always a pretty low-key month for us.  We went to Kids Dig It (aka: the best day of Cooper's life).  Daddy snuck in another fishing trip.  The kids had fun playing in the rain. Daddy went and ate lunch with LL at school one day.

October
Now we got to start all of the fall fun!  We took our annual trip to the Honey Bee Festival.  Daddy invented a new activity outside to do with the kids.  He also took LL hunting for the first time.  We started getting ready for Halloween and went to the pumpkin patch.  We carved pumpkins and went Trick-or-Treating!

November
We kicked off November with LL's first FSU game.  Matt and I enjoyed going on our solo shopping-spree trip to Atlanta.  We took the kids back to Atlanta to celebrate Thanksgiving with Aunt Laura, Uncle Gino, and Ben.

December
December was full of twinkle lights and excitement.  We went to the Christmas Tree farm to pick out our tree.  Cooper got all switched over to his big boy room.  LL got an award at school, and she lost her first tooth!  Emily and I took a girl's trip to go see Justin Timberlake in concert.  And we had a blast celebrating Christmas!

This was such an amazing year for our family!  You can take a look at recaps of past years here:
