LL's 4th Trip to the Dentist

Our last visit to the dentist in November went so well.  LL did great, and other than x-rays, it wasn't a big deal.  This time, LL's dentist came at the end of my school year when things were absolutely crazy for me.  Her appointment was scheduled in the morning, and I couldn't get off, so Matt took her instead.  This is the first time that someone besides me had taken her and I had not been prepping her prior to the appointment because we were so busy.  I hoped that those two things wouldn't throw her off and that she would still do well.  I'm pleased to say that she did!  She did wonderfully!  They even had to do the fluoride (or whatever it is that they paint on their teeth), and she handled that fine.

After her appointment, Matt took her to The Mix to celebrate doing a wonderful job.  My mom used to always take me to get a donut after my dentist appointments, so this kind of follows in that path.  I mean, you just got your teeth super clean - time to get them super dirty, right?  ;)

When she goes back next time, she has to get X-rays.  I'm going to have to start talking to her about that junk now!

Looks like she was quite the trooper! I wish I could say the same about my son's first trip to our Woodridge dentist... according to my wife he wouldn't even let the dentist look at his teeth. Although my son has a bad "habit" of being especially bratty when it's just his mom with him...

Today's dentists have a way to calm anxieties about dentists work. Through sedation dentistry, you can visit the dentist, take a nap, and wake up with your dental work finished.
