St. Augustine Beach Trip

The Friday after Thanksgiving we kicked off the morning with our donut breakfast with Sparkle.  After breakfast, we got everything ready and packed up to head to St. Augustine with Oma and Opa.  We left to go down there about 12:00.  The kids ate lunch in the car, and it was perfect timing for Cooper to just nap in the car (LL won't nap in the car anymore).

We got to the condo about 4ish.  It was a super nice place - we had three bedrooms, two baths, and a full kitchen, dining room, and living room.  About the time that we got down there, I started feeling a little gross.  I was nauseated (not super uncommon for me), and just not hungry at all.  It was pretty cold outside, so we just let the kids play around the condo a little bit until it was time for dinner.

LL and Opa walking around the complex.

Cooper loved playing on the balcony!

The sleeping situation worked out perfectly.  Oma and Opa had one bedroom.  Cooper slept in his pack-n-play in another bedroom.  Matt, LL, and I took the 3rd bedroom.  We made her a "cheetah cave" (she's OBSESSED with pretending to be a cheetah) in the closet floor, and left the doors open for her to sleep in there.

The next morning we woke up and I got hit with a mean stomach virus.  I could tell the night before that I wasn't feeling quite right!  Most of Saturday is a blur for me.  I was either sleeping or running back and forth to the bathroom.  I know during the day that everyone went to the park to play for a little bit.  Matt sent these pictures to me while I was quarantined at the condo.

This boy LOVES to be outside - even when it's freezing!

After nap time, I woke up and we were able to go to the beach for a little bit.  It was freezing outside, and I still wasn't feeling great, so we didn't stay long.

Of course he found a stick right away.

Is this not the sweetest little face??

Coop and I were happy to stay in one spot to play in the sand while Daddy and LL went off to play and explore a little bit.

Leaning into the wind - the wind was SUPER strong!

Chasing seagulls.

Gotta love the drool that comes along with a teething baby.  :)

We stayed for about 30 minutes before it just got way too cold and we had to head back.

He can't quite keep up yet.  ;)

We spent the rest of the night just playing in the condo and trying to feel better (me).  Oma and Opa did take LL into old town St. Augustine for a little bit to look at Christmas lights, and she really enjoyed that.  It wasn't the best way to spend a vacation (with a virus), but we still tried to have fun when we could!
