Cooper's Crab Shack!

I can not begin to describe the stress that went into this party.  About two weeks before the party, it started raining.  And, literally, it has been raining ever since.  With my mom re-doing the floor inside her house, I seriously had NO back-up plan.  If it rained us out, we were going to be forced to move into the garage. And I had absolutely no idea how I was going to entertain kids for two hours in the garage.  The only activity I had planned was the pool because, duh, it's a pool party!  Two days before the party, the rain chance jumped up to 80%.  To say that I was freaking out is putting it too mildly.  The day before the party, it was still 80% and showed that it was going to rain every hour of the day, especially during his party (3:30 - 5:30).  The morning of his party, it dropped to 40%, but still showed rain all afternoon.  I literally spent the entire morning just praying that the rain would hold off.  Then, about 11:00 the morning of the party, the rain chance dropped to ZERO.  No joke!  The highest rain chance that we had for the hours of his party was 5%.  Who says God doesn't care about even the small things of our hearts??  As soon as we saw those rain chances, we jumped to decorating!  People started arriving right at 3:30 and we all had a BLAST!

Daddy was on pool duty with the birthday boy!

It was so cute how much Cooper absolutely loved this part.  :)

Luke got in on the action, too.  :)

Hopefully Cooper and Andrew will grow up to be buddies!

Coley was great at doing cannon balls!

And LL loved doing a belly flop!

Coley is seriously the most daring kid I know.  She isn't scared of anything!  This was her showing us how she could do a flip off of the side.  Umm...she's 4!

We started serving food about 4:30 and everyone was just free to eat whenever they wanted.  We had burgers, dogs, chips, and fruit.

Cooper had a MUCH better cake experience than LL did at her first birthday party.  I think it was due to the fact that 1 - he's suuuuper laid back, and 2 - we had already practiced at home on his actual birthday.

We ended up taking the crabs off so that we didn't have to worry about him choking.

This is one way to go about it.  :)  I think he liked it!

I tried to get a picture of everyone who came.
