Cooper - 12 Months Old!

Yay!!!  Coop-man is a year old!!  It has been an AMAZING year with this sweet boy and I can't wait to celebrate many many more!  Please note that I was taking pictures completely alone this time.  Usually I have someone there to help me wrangle him, make him smile, etc.  I'm sure you'll be able to tell the difference- haha!  

Here's what Cooper was up to in his 12th month as compared to What to Expect the First Year:

Stats:

Weight: 24ish pounds
Diaper: Size 3
Clothes: 9 month and 12 month clothes.  The 9 months are starting to get a little snug, and the 12 months are fitting perfectly.

Schedule:

Cooper is still on his 4 hour schedule - 

7am - up for the day! (6oz bottle)
8:00ish - breakfast (fruit, dairy, grain - all table food)
8:45 - 9:00 - down for nap
11:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
12:00ish - lunch (vegetable, meat, bread - all table food)
12:45-1:00 - down for nap
3:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
5:45ish - dinner (table food - usually whatever we're eating plus a few more veggies)
6:30 - bath
6:45 - bottle (6oz) 
7:00 - bed

Cooper can do all of the things that a 12 month old baby should be able to do:
-walk holding onto furniture (cruise)
-use a few gestures to get needs met

Cooper can do most of the things that a 12 month old will probably be able to do:
-play patty cake (clap hands) or wave bye-bye
-pick up a tiny object neatly with tips of thumb and forefinger
-stand alone momentarily
-say one word other than "mama" or "dada" {he can say Uh-Oh and Dog}

This is an "LL Face" FOR SURE!

Cooper can not do some of the things that a 12 month old will probably be able to do:
-drink from a cup independently {he REFUSES???  He CAN - he just WON'T}
-say "dada" or "mama" discriminately

Cooper can not do any of the things that a 12 month old may possibly be able to do:
-play ball
-stand alone well
-use immature jargoning
-walk well

Cooper can do one of the things that a 12 month old may even be able to do:
-respond to one-step command without gestures {he can point to the fan, find the dog, and shake his head "no" - all of these when asked and without gestures}

Let's be real for a minute - this is what most of the photo session looked like.

Cooper can not do one of the things that a 12 month old may even be able to do:
-say three words or more other than "mama" or "dada"

Look at how much this sweet boy has grown!
