Here's how Cooper is doing compared to What to Expect the First Year.
Stats:
Weight: 23ish pounds
Diaper: Size 3
Clothes: 9 month and 12 month clothes. The 9 months fit perfectly and the 12 months are just a teeny bit big.
Schedule:
Cooper is still on his 4 hour schedule -
7am - up for the day! (6oz bottle)
8:00ish - breakfast (fruit, dairy, grain - all table food)
8:45 - 9:00 - down for nap
11:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
12:00ish - lunch (vegetable, meat - all table food)
12:45-1:00 - down for nap
3:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
5:45ish - dinner (table food - usually whatever we're eating plus a few more veggies)
6:30 - bath
6:45 - bottle (6oz) and bed
Cooper can do all of the things that an 11 month old baby should be able to do:
-get into sitting position from stomach
-pick up tiny object with any part of thumb and finger
-understand "no" (but not always obey it) {he actually does obey it about 90% of the time!}
Cooper can do all of the things that an 11 month old baby will probably be able to do:
-play patty-cake (clap hands) or wave bye-bye {he waves, but doesn't clap}
-walk holding on to furniture (cruise) {he just started doing this some this past week!}
-point or gesture to something to get needs met
I am so in love with his little smushed profile. :)
Cooper can do some of the things that an 11 month old may possibly be able to do:
-pick up a tiny object neatly with tips of thumbs and forefinger
-say "dada" or "mama" discriminately {he does say "mama" occasionally to mean me!}
-say one word other than "mama" or "dada" {he can say "uh-oh"!}
There was one thing that Cooper can not do from the "may possibly" category:
-stand alone momentarily (he's getting close!)
Cooper can do two things that some 11 months old may even be able to do:
-indicate wants in ways other than crying {he can point!}
-respond to a one-step command without gestures
Cooper can not do most of the things that an 11 month old "may even be able to do":
-stand alone well
- "play ball" (roll ball back to you)
-drink from a cup independently
-use immature jargoning (gibberish that sounds as if baby is talking in a made-up foreign language)
-say three or more words other than "mama" or "dada"
-walk well
My sweet babies :)
