Cooper - 10 Months Old!

The birthday countdown is officially on!!  I've got a theme, and I've spent HOURS on pinterest and etsy trying to figure out what I want to do - now it's just time to start making it happen!  I can't believe how close we are to a year!

Here's how Cooper is doing compared to What to Expect the First Year:

Stats:

Weight: 21 lbs 14 oz
Diaper: Size 3
Clothes: Mostly 9 months with just a tiny bit of 6 months and also starting to work in some 12 months

Schedule:
Cooper is still on his 4 hour schedule -
7am - up for the day! (6oz bottle)
8:00ish - breakfast (fruit, dairy, grain - all table food)
8:45 - 9:00 - down for nap
11:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
12:00ish - lunch (vegetable, meat - all table food)
12:45-1:00 - down for nap
3:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
5:45ish - dinner (table food - usually whatever we're eating plus a few more veggies)
6:30 - bath
6:45 - bottle (6oz) and bed

Cooper can do all of the things that a 10 month old baby should be able to do:
-stand holding on to someone or something
-pull up to standing position from sitting
-object if you try to take a toy away {although usually he won't - he's just so easy going and laid back!}
-say "mama" or "dada" indiscriminately {finally!  yay!}
-play peekaboo
-exchange back-and-forth gestures with you {he waves bye-bye and points, so I'm assuming that's what they mean??}

Cooper can do most of the things that a 10 month old baby will probably be able to do:
-get into a sitting position from stomach
-play patty-cake (clap hands) or wave bye-bye {he waves, but doesn't clap}
-pick up tiny object with any part of thumb and finger
-understand "no" (but not always obey it)

So cute.  :)

Cooper can not do one thing that a 10 month old will probably be able to do:
-walk holding onto furniture (cruise)

He LOVES his George monkey!

Cooper can to one thing that a 10 month old may possibly be able to do:
-point to something to get needs met

Cooper can not do most of the things that a 10 month old may possibly be able to do:
-stand alone momentarily
-say "dada" or "mama" discriminately

Cooper can do some of the things that a 10 month old may even be able to do:
-indicate wants in ways other than crying
{he bangs for more food and will point at things he wants}
-drink from a cup independently {again - I'm assuming that they mean a sippy cup}
-respond to a one-step command with gestures {he will point to a nose or mouth when asked}

Cooper does not do most of the things that a 10 month old may even be able to do:
-"play ball" (roll ball back to you)
-pick up tiny object neatly with tips of thumb and forefinger
-stand alone well
-use immature jargoning
-say one word other than "mama" or "dada"
-walk well

.....and..... he's done.
