LL's 4th Birthday Party

For Lorelai's birthday party this year, we did things a LOT differently than we usually do.  Typically, we pick a theme (last year was Rapunzel) and we go ALL out.  While this is super fun, it's also a LOT of work.  Last year, I took the day off of school the day before to get ready (I was also like 19/20 weeks pregnant), and I worked all day long.  Then, we worked most of the next day, too.  By the end of it, we were all exhausted, and we still had to do all of the cleaning and packing up!

Back in October, we went to the YMCA's gymnastics facility for a birthday party for one of LL's classmates - and LL was in LOVE.  Our original plan was to do a Doc McStuffins themed party this year, but LL changed her mind and said that she wanted a gymnastics party, too.  I was all for it and we totally changed our plans!

It ended up being AWESOME.  The price was amazing, I only had to worry about cake, food, and favors, and the kids (and adults) had a BLAST!!  The kids had a great time playing and I think everyone had fun!  The best part is - we had no clean-up to do when we left!  Score!

We also scaled it back this year.  At LL's first birthday party, we had over 100 people there.  They haven't all been that big, but we have had a good bit of people there.  This year, we invited all immediate family, and then only a few of LL's friends that she picked herself.

Getting started and doing some stretches.

The parachute game!!  I remember doing this when I was little and I  LOVED it!

LL's turn to run underneath.  :)

LL showing everyone how to do the obstacle course.  I love her little pigtails flying up.  :)

Ben had a BLAST!  He was pretty quiet about it, but every time I saw him he had a huge grin on his face.

They made Meghan help Luke out the whole time since he was under 3, but he did REALLY good with everything!

LL's turn on the balance beam.

Madeline knew exactly what to do on the rings!

Kye was great at this, too!

Ansley kept her feet so dainty the whole time - it was adorable.

Mia is so tiny, but did really good!

Luke needed a little help with this one.  :)

All of the dads were ready for their turn!!

They were patiently waiting for their turn to jump in the foam pit.

Daddy jumping in.  Here's a video!

Here's a video of the three of us jumping in.  :)

Me throwing LL in - haha.

Sliding in!

I got LL to take another turn on the rings because I didn't get a picture of her the first time.  :)

Food and cake time!

She LOVED her Cinderella cake and had fun picking it out at the store.

I can't believe my big girl is 4!!!

Present time!!

Party favors - water bottles and gold medals!

This is the FOURTH year that Kye has been at LL's party!

I love that these two girls are buds!

LL had a GREAT party and it was perfect for 4 year olds!  I love that she and her friends had SO.  MUCH.  FUN!  Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate!  I can't wait to see what kind of party she wants to have next year!

Where did you find the water bottles? I've been search! Seems like everything is changing to the folding bottles.

I am also in search of the plastic water bottles for my 4 and 6 year old's gymnastics birthday party. We're having 20 kids so I need a good price on them, too :)

I found them from oriental trading! They were super cheap!

What did you use to write their names on them? Just a regular paint pen?
