2013 Goals

I've been doing a LOT of thinking about my goals for this year.  Usually, I make quite a bit.  This year - I'm approaching things a little differently.

2012 was a rough year for us.  Don't get me wrong - it definitely had its wonderful moments.  Just overall, it was really tough and full of lots of dark, hard times.  I am DETERMINED that I won't say the same thing at the end of 2013.

So after lots of thinking about it, and talking about it with Matt, I have only 4 goals this year:

1- Love Jesus.  This means in every way.  My own alone time.  Family Jesus time.  Getting more involved in church and life group.  Making Jesus more a priority for my kids.  Everything.

2- Be positive.  SO MUCH of being happy is a choice.  I won't say everything because I feel like circumstances CAN effect how you feel.  But I think most of it is a choice.  And I am CHOOSING that 2013 will be a great year, and that I will be a more positive, happy person!

3- Play more.  I want to be more carefree and playful.  I want to make sure that I get on the floor and play with LL when she asks.  Be silly with her spur of the moment.  Make my kids laugh every day.  THIS is what will matter to me for the rest of my life.  Not having a clean house, watching the TV shows I want to, hanging out with my friend.  Playing with my kids.

4- Get healthy.  Matt and I are both on the path to being the healthiest that we've ever been - and I'm determined to stay on it.  This doesn't mean that I'm going to look like a super model by December - but it means that I'm going to do the best for MY body -  no matter what that looks like to the world.

So...this is it.  My goals.  There aren't many, but I think that these are what is most important to me right now.
