Here's a look at how Cooper is doing this month compared to What to Expect the First Year:
Stats:
Weight: About 20lbs
Diapers: Size 3
Clothes:6 months (not for long), 6-9 months, and 9 months
Schedule:
We're still on the 4 hour schedule, but I've adjusted it once again to fit in with even more solids.
7:00 am - up for the day (6 oz bottle)
8:15ish - solids (fruit)
8:45ish - down for nap
11:00 - up and eat (6 oz)
12:15ish - solids (veggie)
12:30ish - down for nap
3:00 - up and eat (6oz)
5:45ish - dinner (oatmeal and solids)
6:30 - bath
6:45 - bottle (6 or 7 oz)
7:00 - bed
He still sleeps through the night about 50% of the time, but we're weaning him out of it and lowering his oz in the night. If he wakes up now, he only gets 3 oz.
Cooper can do all of the things that a seven month old baby should be able to:
-feed self a cracker
-razz
-coo or babble when happy
-smile often when interacting with you
This is what he does now when I try to take pictures!
Cooper can do most of the things that a seven month old baby will probably be able to:
-sit without support
-bear some weight on legs when held upright
-object if you try to take a toy away
-work to get a toy that's out of reach
-rake with fingers an object and pick it up in fist
-turn in the direction of a voice
-look for a dropped object
There are a couple of things that Cooper can not do from the "will probably be able to" section:
-babble, combining vowels and consonants such as ga-ga-ga, ba-ba-ba, ma-ma-ma, da-da-da {we're working on it! LL didn't do this until closer to 8 months, either}
-play peekaboo {we've been working on this, too. He won't pull a blanket off of his face, but he loves the game!}
Cooper can do one thing that a seven month old baby may possibly be able to:
-pass a cube or other object from one hand to the other
Still trying to get that camera!
There were two things that Cooper can not do from the "may possibly be able to" section:
-creep or crawl
-stand holding on to someone or something {he can stand for a long time, but he hasn't done it completely by only himself holding on}
Cooper can do one thing that a seven month old baby may even be able to:
-pick up a tiny object with any part of thumb and finger
There were a lot of things that Cooper can not do from the "may even be able to" section:
-pull up to standing position from sitting
-get into a sitting position from stomach
-play patty cake (clap hands), or wave bye-bye {we're working on it - he's close!}
-walk holding on to furniture
-say "mama" or "dada" indiscriminately
We really are getting to SUCH a fun age and I can't wait to see what this next month has in store for us!
Once again, a look at how much my little man has changed in the last 7 months!
And for the first time, when doing his comparison with LL, I do NOT think that they look that much alike anymore! It really surprised me! Cooper is starting to get his own look, for sure!
