She put him down for his nap. By 12:15, she called and said that he woke up super mad - and was now covered in a rash. All over. His entire body. Yay. Matt stopped by the pedi's office and made him an appointment for 2:!5 (they don't take walk-ins). I ran out of work and met Grammy there with him.
Dr. Blache came in to talk with us, and after looking at him, said it was a viral rash. She said that it looked kind of like foot, hand, and mouth disease (it's been going around a TON), but that she didn't think that's what it was because it wasn't IN his mouth, and it was ALL OVER his body.
Basically, all we can do is give him Tylenol and wait it out! She said that the rash would start to clear up after about three days (Saturday was day 3). Today is Sunday, and it's finally starting to look a little better.
He also had a little spot on his toe that cropped up at the same time that looked like a popped blister. We thought it was related to the rash, but she said it was a fungal thing (basically athlete's foot). ??? What ??? How does a 5 month old baby get a fungus on his foot?! He is either in socks or a footed sleeper 24/7! She said if it gets warm and moist, it can just crop up. Double yay. So we have cream we have to put on it 3x a day for 7 days.
His fever has been gone since Friday, so that has been a blessing. His rash is starting to clear up - and I'm just ready for this junk to be GONE! Sickness needs to leave us alone!!
Hopefully this means we'll all be healthy at Christmas. :)

Goodness boy!! I hope things settle down for you guys. He's still a cutie :)
Oh no! Praying for you and your little man. Glad he is on the mend!
glad he's doing better! I told Zach about the diagnosis and he said the atheletes foot is probably FROM him being in socks/sleepers so much. During awake times you may wanna let his feet be free :) Yall sound like us with the random stuff wrong haha!
