Octoberfest 2012

My dad's birthday is at the end of October (19th to be exact!), and we used to do an "Octoberfest" every year to celebrate.  This is especially fitting because my dad's family is from Germany (my grandma cam over on the boat as a little girl!).  We haven't done an Octoberfest in a few years, but they decided to pick the tradition back up this year.  Laura, Gino, and Ben came down from Atlanta for the weekend.  Early Saturday morning we packed up our little family and headed across town to spend the day at Oma and Opa's!

My handsome boys!

I LOVE it when they come to visit!

Even though it was his birthday, he was doing some cooking.  ;)

Lorelai and Ben are really at an age where they LOVE each other and love playing together.  They seriously played together ALL.  DAY.  LONG.  How cute do they look?  And check out those long legs on my girl!

Of course Daddy had to play some, too - haha.

Aunt Laura hadn't seen Cooper since he was about a month old.  He has changed SO much since then.  She fell in love all over again.  :)

I am one lucky girl to be married to this man!

His eyes always look SO dark in pictures, but they're really hazel.

This is how Coop took his evening cat nap while LL and Ben played outside.  There were so many guests inside that I knew there was no hope of him sleeping in there in his crib.

Earlier in the day (I know - blogger put these out of order), we took the big kids to The Mix as a special treat.  LL had been BEGGING to ride in the 3rd row, so she was super happy when Daddy put her and Ben back there for the ride.

Aren't they adorable??

Coop also had another first this day - his first time in the hammock!  He wasn't quite so sure, but he didn't cry and he enjoyed looking at all of the trees.  He LOVES being outside.

It was such a great day spending so much time with family!  I wish I had gotten more pictures (I didn't get ANY with Oma!), but with two kids to watch after, it's hard for me to keep up with my camera.

Happy Birthday, Opa!
