A Date with LL

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that I have been going completely stir-crazy lately.  Matt and I have a very go-go-go lifestyle and it's not uncommon for us to be busy 5 nights a week.  Well, having a baby totally changes that.  Other than going to take Cooper to the hospital at 2 days old or to the doctor at 2 weeks old, I had not left he house at all until the two days before he turned three weeks old.  During his fourth week (so, he was 3 weeks old and some change), I knew I needed to get out of the house, even if it was just for a little bit.

The day that Uh-oh showed up, LL left to go spend the night with my mom.  The next morning, I decided that Cooper and I would go pick her up instead of my mom bringing her home.  This would get us out of the house for a little bit without taking Cooper into public.  After I got to my mom's, I left Cooper with her for about an hour and a half so that LL and I could have a "date".

During all of this, LL has handed having a new baby in the house SO well.  Even though I'm super happy with both of my babies, I do miss all the one-on-one time that I used to get to spend with LL.  I mean, 99% of my time is consumed with Cooper right now.  I was really looking forward to some time just me and her to reconnect.

We didn't really do anything too spectacular.  We went to Target to pick up a few things (and because it's my fav place in the world).  Then, we went to The Mix to get some ice cream (yes - we had ice cream BEFORE lunch!)

Her favorite topping - marshmallows!  (Or "squishy things" as she calls them - haha).

I LOVE her smile in this one!

Silly faces  :)

After The Mix, we went and picked up Masato's To-Go and headed back to my mom's house to eat it for lunch.

She did both of our eye make-up while we waited.  :)

Her dimple is one of my favorite physical qualities that she has.  :)

Like I said, it wasn't anything crazy fun or cool, but we had SO MUCH FUN just hanging out and spending time together.  She really is my best girl!  :)  I really think that spending time with your children individually is SO important, and my goal is to try and do this often (monthly - at least!).
