Cooper's First Outing

We got discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, June 27.  We had to go back up to the hospital on Friday, June 29 at 9:30 to get Cooper checked out to make sure he was doing good.

My mom came over that morning to help me for the day (Matt went back to work on Thursday), and she took LL to the playground on the base while Matt and I took Cooper to the appointment.  Here's how it went:

-They said his jaundice levels looked okay and there's nothing else we needed to do about it.
-When he was born, he weighed 9 lbs 5 oz.  When we left the hospital, he weighed 8 lbs 12 oz.  When we went back on Friday (two days later), he weighed 9 lbs 1 oz.  That means he gained 5 oz in 2 days.  That's great!
-We were a little nervous about his circumcision (we've never dealt with boy stuff before!), so I had her look at it and she said it looked great and that we'd probably be able to stop putting Vaseline on it within the next 2 or 3 days.
-I told her that he had started getting little pimple looking things (what I initially thought was just baby acne), but all over his entire body.  She said it was normal and that it was just the fact that he still had some of my hormones in his body.  She said that they would go away and then probably come back and then go away again.

The lactation consultant came in and talked to me, said his weight great was awesome, and we left!  It was a super quick visit, but it made me crazy happy to know that he was doing so well!
