Easter Day

You can see our past Easters here: 2010 and 2011

This year we had a pretty relaxed day planned for Easter.  First on our agenda: church.  Of course, this is the most important thing for us to do on Easter.  We want to teach LL at a young age that Easter is not about finding eggs and eating candy; Easter is about celebrating the fact that Jesus is alive!  We talked about it a TON, and I really think that she started to understand (as much as a 3 year old can) what we were talking about.

After church we headed over to Grammy and Pop's house.  We typically have a big Easter dinner there, so we decided to just go there for lunch and nap, too, so that we wouldn't have to rush to drive there after LL's nap.

After nap (and before dinner) we went outside for LL to find her Easter eggs that we had dyed two days before.  We did this last year, too, and LL LOVES it!  Daddy is a master Easter egg hider and he was excited to be able to really start hiding eggs this year.  Last year, LL was still pretty little and wasn't really able to search for eggs on her own.  This year, she did great!  We would still have to point her in the right direction, but she was able to really hunt them on her own!

Excited to start hunting!

I don't know why, but I am completely in LOVE with this picture of her.

We're still working on our happiness with taking pictures - haha.

My best friend.

I love this blue-eyed girl!

After our hunt, we had a great dinner with family.  It was another great Easter, for sure!
