Crazy Girl

Have I mentioned that I absolutely LOVE being home in the summer?  For a good portion of the school year, it's all that gets me through.  Don't get me wrong - my job isn't horrible.  But I'd be lying if I didn't say that my ultimate goal would be to stay home with LL.  On May 18 I did start an online program to get my gifted certification.  It'll take me a year, and it's four classes.  I'm only in my first class right now (and so far doing well!  Woot!), so it does kind of stink that I'm having to spend some of my summer break working on my own school.

One of the things that I love the most about being home in the summer is getting to spend so much time with LL.  I feel like it's just a wonderful opportunity for us to spend time together, reconnect, and for me to really be able to see her little personality.  And let me just tell you, boy does she have some personality!  She keeps me laughing alllll day long!

Here are some things that I've learned about her (or rediscovered) so far this summer:
-She is FUNNY.  And she likes to be.  She loves to crack jokes and make us laugh.  Before I had kids, I didn't know that a 2 year old could intentionally joke around.  But she does!
-She LOVES to be outside.  Even though it is about 1,000 degrees outside already, she will never ask to go inside.  She will stay outside forever.
-She is STUBBORN!  She loves to have her way!  But on the flip side of that, she is very good at listening when we have our "moments" and correcting her attitude and/or behavior.  I think that is so important!
-She talks non-stop.  Seriously.  All day.  I call her jabber jaws because she is CONSTANTLY talking!  I wonder who she learned that from??
-She is so, so, so sweet.  It is just adorable.  And it melts my heart!
-She does not love riding in the car.  She's not horrible about it, but it is most definitely not her favorite thing to do.

The other day she was walking around in just her diaper (we do that a lot when we're home with no plans.  She loves is and I figure she won't be able to get away with it much longer before it is deemed "inappropriate").  I told her that we were going to go outside (just on the porch) to play in her sand/water table for a little bit before lunch.  She insisted on wearing her winter hat, just her diaper, and her light-up sandals.  That's it.  That is totally her personality.  :)  And I just let her do it!  Because, really, why not?

How can you not love her??
