Today at Kelly's Korner, she's having a Show Us Your Life: Kid's Birthday Party. Since I've already done a post on Lorelai's birthday party from this year, I thought I would just break down the theme of her party and where I got all of my supplies.
Invitation: Have you ever been to ETSY? It's like ebay (sort of) but everything is handmade. I am SO in love and visit there often! I could spend my paycheck there! For the picture, I just took LL outside one afternoon and snapped about 30 pictures of her in our yard and picked the best one. After I got a good picture, I sent it to agfaulkner09 at Kiyomi Designs who turned it into this invitation! She just sent me a digital file, and I took it to Wal-Mart and printed as many as I wanted! An AWESOME deal!
Cake and CupcakeTopper: I also searched for these on Etsy. I found both of them from Julie at KidsCakes. She was VERY easy to work with and had EXCELLENT protection of all of the fondant during shipping. I was super impressed and would love to use her again!
Favor Labels: I also ordered these from ETSY. These came from CiaoBambino and she also did a great job and getting these to me super quick. They were extremely cute in person!
Hanging Decorations: These were actually made by my sister! She had some blue and white ones hanging at Ben's first birthday, so she helped me make some pink and white ones for LL's birthday. They are very inexpensive, very easy, and look really great. You just take a few sheets of tissue paper, fold it accordian style, put a rubber band in the middle, cut the ends in either a point, and pull all the sheets apart!
Lorelai's Outfit: Grammy made this! She is getting wonderful at making clothes. I picked out some fabric from hobby lobby for the pants, and pulled some inspiration shirts from pictures on ETSY, and she made it happen! She's working really hard at starting a business for herself and you can see her facebook page here.
Lorelai's Bow: Another ETSY find! Are you surprised about this? I ordered this from Ellie's Garden and she was very great about getting this to me in a hurry.
I think LL's party really came together well because of all of these things. It was a super-cute theme and I thought it was perfect for her 2nd birthday! If you want to see more pictures from her party, check out her 2nd birthday post. I really do need to remember to start planning her birthday party BEFORE Christmas. It comes so quickly after Christmas that I felt SO rushed and that I didn't have time to plan a really awesome party. Next year my plan is to start way earlier!
