Indoor Activities - Part 2

Did you see my post about trying out an ice activity the other week?  I've been looking around some on the internet and other blogs about indoor activities.  Now that the time has changed, it is easier for us to play outside after dinner, but I still want to have some "back ups" for rainy days, etc.  I just feel like a lot of the time we do the same things over and over inside our house!

This night, we tried another indoor activity: finger painting!  Sort of.  We have done finger paints a ton before, but I read to try them in the bathtub!  The white tub is the perfect canvas, they can get as messy as they want, and the clean up is super easy!

LL seriously played in this for about 20 - 30 minutes.  When she was done, I just took her diaper off, used the sprayer to get the paint off of the actual tub, and then I just filled the tub with water and gaver her her nightly bath!  So easy!  She really had a blast!  I think she really enjoyed it because I wasn't constantly worried about her getting paint everywhere.  The only downfall was that once there was a lot of pain, she couldn't crawl around the tub.  There was no traction!  I thought it was pretty funny, but she didn't.

Taste testing

All clean!

Do you know of any indoor activities we can try?

I don't have much in the way of ideas, since we're not really to this stage yet. But I read somewhere about The Toddler Busy Book. I think it's probably just what you're looking for! I was just thinking to myself, after reading your last post, that I needed to check it out from the library. Here's a link to it at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Toddlers-Busy-Book-Activities-3-Year-Old/dp/0671317741/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1300324441&sr=8-1
