Christmas with Ben

This year it just didn't work out for us to be with my sister for Christmas, so Laura decided to bring Ben down for two days to celebrate mom's birthday and Christmas.  She wasn't here for long, but it sure was awesome to see them so close to Christmas!

We decided to start out Christmas right with baking some cookies!!  I feel like I sure am blogging a lot about cookies right now!

After dinner we decided to let just the kids to Christmas.  Lorelai opened her gift from Aunt Laura, Uncle Gino, and Ben, and Ben opened his gifts from me, Matt and Lorelai.  It was really a lot of fun to see the kids start to "get" Christmas.

Clothes!  She had a blast taking off and putting the lid on this box over and over.

The next day Mom and Laura took Ben over to Becky's to see Lorelai and to pick up the outfit that Becky made for him.  She also made one for Lorelai.  I'm usually not one for matchy-matchy, but they did look pretty adorable!  I had to work for a half day, so when I got done I took LL over to mom's and we took the kids to the park to run out some energy!

It wasn't nearly the amount of time that I would like to spend with my sister, but it was waaaay better than nothing.  I was so happy that she came and so happy that I got to spend some time with Ben.  He is the absolute sweetest little boy!  And I think that he knows that Laura and I have a strong bond, because I can tell he loves me a lot, too.  :)
