12 Months!!!!!!

How I have been anticipating this post!!  I am now, officially, the mother of a toddler!  I've been waiting to do this post so that I could have her stats from her one year appointment that we went to today.  So here goes!

Weight : 20 lbs 10 oz - 41% (up 2 lbs 1 oz from 9 months)
Height: 30 3/4" - 92% (up 1 3/4" from 9 months)
Head Circumfrance: 17 1/2" - 30% (up 1/4" from 9 months)

Our big growing girl!  Here's how my ONE YEAR OLD has changed in the last month!  :)

1- Eating Habits.  We're doing better on the spitting food out phase right now!  She still does it, but not nearly as much as she did before!  Which is nice!  She's also decided to be a little bit of a pickier eater now when it comes to her vegetables and fruits.  She eats meats and cheeses like a pro, but is much more picky about her fruits and veggies.  We still have our "You get what you get and you don't get upset" motto, so we don't offer her a million different things.  I'm starting to add a little more seasoning to her veggies to see if that will help.  We'll see - hopefully this is just another phase!

2- Sleeping.  This is going FANTASTIC right now!  Since my last post, LL has still not had a bottle in the middle of the night.  AND, the best news of all, no more dream feed!  We dropped it last week and she's been doing fine!  She woke up early (about 5:30) for about two days, but that stopped pretty quickly.  We now give her 8 oz before bed, and then 6 oz in the morning.  This makes up for the 4 that she used to get around 10:00 pm.  I'm so happy that we're done with this!

3- Walking.  So close!  This is, by far, her favorite thing to do right now!  All she wants to do is hold on to one of your fingers with one of her hands and walk and walk and walk.  I love it!  It's so very cute!  I really think that she could walk if she wanted to, she just hasn't decided to do it yet.  My fear - once she lets go she'll take off running!  I think she'll be walking by 13 months, for sure.

4 - Dancing.  This girl is still a dancing fanatic!  It really is one of my favorite things and I hope it sticks around!  She will do it any time, any place without warning.  She's even started doing it in the morning when we turn her light on and go to get her out of her crib.  So cute!

5- Holdig her own sippy.  She's becoming a pro at holding her own sippy full of water.  It's still a no-go on holding her formula sippies, but I'm sure that's coming soon!

6 - Blue eyes.  We've made it to the one year mark!  They're officially blue for life!  Woo hoo!!!

Here's what her current schedule looks like (on weekends at home):

6:00-6:15 - wake up! and sippy
6:20 - diaper change and stripped down for breakfat
6:30 - 6:45 - breakfast (grains, fruits, and dairy)

Hey! I got your blog from Emily and started reading. I read the posting she did about LL's birthday. I LOVE the hats. I am going to do a monkey theme for my son's first b-day. Just curious to know where you got them from...

Love the blog!

Thanks, Stephanie! My sister (who lives in Atlanta) actually bought all of the party supplies up there for me. But I know that she just went to a party store and they had them there, so maybe a local party store near you would?
